The 2019 Honda HR-V is a small crossover SUV that offers five trims. Available in three models, the 2019 Toyota C-HR is a crossover SUV with a compact platform. Rolling on the Real Time All-Wheel Drive, the HR-V delivers better all-season and all-terrain performance. Additionally, the Honda Sensing technology has a slight advantage over the Toyota Safety Sense P.
Engineered for efficient performance, the 2019 Honda HR-V's i-VTEC engine block produces 141 horsepower. This 1.8 L SOHC powertrain delivers a maximum torque of 127 pound-feet. The 2019 Toyota C-HR's 2.0 L engine block generates 144 hp and 139 lb-ft. Both crossover SUVs come standard with a continuously variable transmission system. The Sport Mode is included in the HR-V's CVT, and the Shift Mode is integrated into the C-HR's CVTi-S system. This versatile Honda model rolls on the Real Time AWD, which surely creates much better traction than the C-HR's standard front-wheel drive. Additionally, the Intelligent Control System manages the drivetrain in the HR-V. This patented mechanism guarantees a smooth transfer of torque in the wheels. The Eco Assist and Active Noise Cancellation are some other features that give this Honda an edge over the C-HR in overall performance.
The 2019 HR-V Touring edition is equipped with the standard Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System, which has voice recognition. If you want to receive the latest updates on local traffic conditions, turn on HD Digital Traffic. Available in the 2019 Toyota C-HR Limited edition, the Dynamic Navigation platform also provides good guidance on the road. Both crossover SUVs have 7.0-inch touch screens with high resolution. These compact vehicles offer iPhone integration through Apple CarPlay. You can also use Siri Eyes Free in the C-HR's Entune 3.0 infotainment system. However, this Toyota model lacks Android Auto, which is standard in three of the HR-V trims. The HondaLink and Bluetooth HandsFreeLink features gives you additional options for connecting mobile devices in the HR-V. SiriusXM Satellite Radio and HD Radio are the top music portals that are available in both cars. The Speed-Sensitive Volume Compensation (SVC) technology optimizes the acoustics inside this Honda.
The Honda Sensing technology powers the Collision Mitigation Braking in the 2019 Honda HR-V. This signature package also controls the Forward Collision Warning and Road Departure Mitigation. Similarly, the 2019 C-HR has the Toyota Safety Sense P suite that defines most of the vehicle's active safety features. For example, the Pre-Collision is similar to the automatic braking in the HR-V. Both crossover SUVs have systems that monitor lane changes and blind zones. Additionally, the Honda Sensing Adaptive Cruise Control matches the TSS-P Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. With some feedback from the Honda LaneWatch, you'll confidently navigate highways with multiple lanes. This Honda crossover SUV has the SmartVent technology in the front side air bags. You won't find any comparable air bags in the C-HR.
